Specifications

A 7 x 8 2100 with wood frame.

A 7 x 8 2100 with wood frame.

  • 6.5 mm (1/4″) aluminum plate doors with beveled edges;
  • 4.75 mm (3/16″) aluminum front frames;
  • Bins of all welded 22 Ga CRS with enamel finish;
  • 5 Pin Dustcover locks with 3 keys each;
  • Full length piano hinging on all doors;
  • On Models C, C2, D, D3, and E,  all doors open down and have metal side straps to keep doors horizontal when open;
  • Doors and front frames come with a brushed mill finish with a clear enamel coating;
  • Welded 12 mm label holders above each compartment for easy box identification; and,
  • All nuts and bolts supplied to complete box assembly.

Modular Box Design

2100 modular

Flanges on the top and bottom of each module are interlocked and bolted together to give an extremely sturdy full box assembly.  Designed to Canada Post specifcations, this box type has been used by Canada Post since 1946.

Door Options

2100 mailslot

3/8″ or 3/4″ mailslots are available on any size doors. (Subject to local  postal approval)

2100 cardslot

1/8″ x 3″ cardslots are also available.

Black engraved numbers are standard on the door face.

2100 numberplates

Clear plastic number plates also available with either black or silver lettering.

Integral Trim

2100 integral trim

With integral trim, the aluminum front frames of the peripheral boxes are extended 19mm (3/4″) on the sides, and 13mm (1/2″) on top and bottom to cover the edge of the rough opening.

Recessed Installation

The wall opening should have a plywood base on which the box(es) can sit. The sides and top should form a rigid, secure base.
